Krooked Kings on the Rise

Some would say that love at first listen doesn’t exist. I’d tell them to go to a Krooked Kings show. Immediately after stepping onto the stage, the indie rock band had everyone captivated.

The band's first show in Nashville had the crowd in high spirits, dancing around from the first beat. In the audience, I could feel the energy of the whole room lift while watching them perform, creating an atmosphere that allowed everyone to let go and just be in the moment. Their stage presence was incredible and watching the fan interactions was just a sneak peak into their personalities— one fan bought them each a shot during the show and they started a “chug” chant. From new songs to old ones, there wasn’t a moment I didn’t want to be dancing.

Pleaser had the opportunity to sit down with them in their green room before the show to talk to them a bit as they shared some insight on their tour life. They are an independent band from Salt Lake City, Utah who just started the second leg of their “Sick of Being Young” tour. They chatted with us about writing on the road and bus life; they don’t write on the road often, but when they do, they each write on their own, and it is an idea here and there they jot down for when it is time to create some more music. They also shared about how big of a difference van life and bus life have been. Each has their own perks: they love being able to sleep on the drive on a bus, but miss splitting the drive in a van, sharing music on aux, and seeing the beautiful sights of each state they drive through.

An incredibly talented band with such positive and fun energy they bring to the music industry, this is only the beginning of big things from Krooked Kings. Make sure to keep an eye out for possible tour dates in cities near you, this is not an opportunity you want to miss out on!
